• Radha-Krishna (IAST rādhā-kṛṣṇa, Sanskrit: राधा कृष्ण) is the combined form of the Hindu god Krishna with his chief consort and shakti Radha. They are regarded as the feminine as well as the masculine realities of God, in several Krishnaite traditions of Vaishnavism.
• To some, they did not marry since they already had one soul between them. Other stories say they married secretly or could not marry because Radha had already married another man. In Vaishnavism, Radha and Krishna represent avatars of the two supreme deities: Vishnu and his partner Lakshmi.
• In the bhakti (devotional) movement of Vaishnavism, the female, Radha, is sometimes interpreted as symbolizing the human soul and the male, Krishna, as symbolizing God. The love of Krishna and Radha has been given expression in the lyrical poetry of many Indian languages, particularly Bengali.
